The course is free and works without an account. We only collect what it needs to work – and most of it stays in your browser.
Who runs the course
The data controller is Zdeněk Grežďo (a private individual). Contact for any questions and requests: zg.programm@gmail.com.
What stays in your browser only
Your progress (completed challenges, lessons read, streak days, quiz answers, badges), the code of your challenges, the chosen language, where you left off and the name on your certificate are stored in your browser (localStorage). They are not sent anywhere – unless you sign in. You can delete them any time under “Your data” below or in your browser settings.
The course uses no cookies for tracking, advertising or analytics. We measure visits without cookies – see “Running the site”.
Account (optional)
When you sign in, we process your e-mail and your course progress, including the code of your challenges and the name on your certificate. Purpose: bonus challenges and progress on all your devices (performance of the service you request – Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
The data is stored by Supabase (Supabase Inc.) on servers in the EU. The sign-in code is sent by e-mail through Gmail (Google), so Google processes your e-mail address and the message itself. We keep the data until you delete your account – you can do it yourself below or write to zg.programm@gmail.com.
Feedback
When you send feedback, we receive its text, the page you send it from and – if you fill it in – your e-mail so we can reply (legitimate interest – Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The form is delivered by Web3Forms to a Gmail (Google) mailbox. We keep feedback as long as we need it to deal with it, at most 2 years.
Running the site
The site runs on Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.), which briefly logs technical data about requests (e.g. IP address and browser) for security and operation. The services above may process data outside the EU; such transfers are covered by the EU standard contractual clauses.
To know how many people read the course and which lessons are read most, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It measures only aggregated, anonymous data: pages visited, where you came from, country, browser and device type, and page load speed. It uses no cookies or browser storage, doesn't follow you across sites and can't identify you (legitimate interest – Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict processing, to data portability and to object. You can do most of it yourself below; otherwise write to zg.programm@gmail.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Czech data protection authority (uoou.gov.cz).
Anyone aged 15 or over can create an account; younger readers only with a parent's consent. We don't sell data or use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
Your data
Download everything the course stores about you, clear it from this browser, or delete your account with everything stored on the server.
Effective from 05/10/2026.
